Build workflows around the way your print shop operates.

No two print shops work in exactly the same way. In PrintBlocks you define the stages your orders and production jobs move through, the order of those stages and what happens at each one.

The system adapts to your process, from the first inquiry and order approval through artwork, production, packing, shipping and payment.

Create every status your team needs

Define statuses for orders and production jobs, give each one a name and colour, and arrange them around your actual process.

Your stages might include quote sent, awaiting approval, awaiting artwork, ready for production, printing, quality control, waiting for other jobs, ready to pack and shipped.

A different route for different work

Screen printing, DTF, DTG and embroidery do not need to follow the same route.

Every rule is conditional, so a route can be narrowed by the department the work belongs to, the status it is in, who it is assigned to, the dates on it, or where the order came from.

Connect orders with their production jobs

One order can include several production jobs that move forward independently. You decide how their progress affects the overall order.

A rule can wait for every job to reach a stage before the order moves, or fire as soon as any one of them does. A shop that wants the two independent leaves both empty.

Decide what happens at every stage

When an order or job reaches a particular status, PrintBlocks can carry out the actions that belong at that point.

Email or message the customer on WhatsApp, assign an employee or a department, raise a notification, add a note, move a status, mark the order approved, or issue a document in your accounting system.

Adapt the workflow to the order source

An online store order does not need to follow the same process as a manually entered order, a partner order or an urgent job.

Rules can be scoped to where the order came from, down to a particular store or a particular partner rather than just the channel.

Change the process as your shop changes

Add a stage, rearrange the order or rename a status directly from the settings.

Adding a stage is adding a record. It does not need us, and it does not need a release.

Turn team knowledge into a clear process

Instead of keeping the workflow as something passed verbally between employees, define it once in the system.

Every team member can see the current stage, what needs to happen now and what comes next, even when they are new or joining the job midway through.

Questions shops ask

What is a workflow in PrintBlocks?

A workflow is the sequence of stages an order or production job moves through. It defines the statuses, their order and what happens when each stage is reached.

Can we create our own statuses?

Yes. You can create, edit, colour and reorder statuses for both orders and production jobs to match your print shop's process.

Can different types of work follow different routes?

Yes. Rules are conditional, so a bulk apparel job and a single photo print do not have to travel the same way. A rule can be narrowed by department, status, assignee, dates or order source.

Can a job status update the overall order?

Yes. You can create rules that decide when the progress of a production job changes the status of its order.

Each rule chooses whether it needs every job to reach that stage or just one of them, so an order can be held for packing until the last job is finished.

Can an order status update its production jobs?

Yes. You can configure a change to the order to move its production jobs as well. If you prefer to manage them separately, leave the rules empty and the two stay independent.

What is the difference between a workflow and an automation?

A workflow defines the route and stages the work moves through. An automation defines an action triggered by an event on that route, such as sending a message, assigning an employee or issuing a document.

What if we do not know our ideal workflow yet?

Most shops do not, written down. Start with something simple that matches how you work today, and add or rearrange stages as the process becomes clearer. We map it with you during implementation, which is usually the first time it has been said out loud in one piece.

Can we change a workflow after we start using it?

Yes. Statuses, sequences, rules and actions can all be updated as your print shop changes.

Your system should work the way your shop does.

Define the process once and let PrintBlocks carry every order and production job along the right route.
